What are specialist mortgages?

A specialist mortgage can help you if your buy to let  / commercial mortgage application is a little outside of the ‘norm’.

There is a variety of situations where a specialist mortgage may be suited to you, which may include:

  • Borrowers age.

  • Gifted deposits from family members.

  • Credit profile.

  • Proof of income or income type.

  • Affordability and indebtedness.

The main advantage of a specialist mortgage is that their qualifying criteria is a little more flexible so the good news is that if you have complex circumstances and your application has been rejected by the more ‘vanilla’ lenders, you may still be able to get the financial support you need.

If you are struggling to find a buy to let or commercial mortgage, our advisors will be happy to chat to you about your options and will strive to find a suitable solution for your needs and circumstances.

THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE SECURING DEBTS AGAINST YOUR HOME. YOUR HOME MAY BE REPOSSESSED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP REPAYMENTS ON YOUR SECURED LOAN OR MORTGAGE. IF YOU ARE THINKING OF CONSOLIDATING EXISTING BORROWING YOU SHOULD BE AWARE THAT YOU MAY BE EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE DEBT AND INCREASING THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU REPAY.

Flexible Finance (UK) Ltd is a broker, not a lender. We will receive commission that will vary depending on lender, provider, product, or other permissible factors. Any commission received will be documented for your attention before you proceed. A broker fee of up to £1,995 may be charged. The exact amount will be disclosed to you at the earliest opportunity.
